Traditional
references abound on deck. The two glistening deckhouses are
beautifully varnished and finished in teak. They are connected by a
large, twin-table cockpit at the aft of which the helmsman steers a
wood-spoke wheel from behind a glass-faceted binnacle. Meteor’s
classic roots are reflected elsewhere on deck with unusually wide
teak centre planks, elegant domed skylights in cut beveled glass
and harmoniously designed deck details that include custom hardware
and winches by Rondal. Even the carbon spars and tender davits have
been finished to project a faithful aesthetic.
